Stay at Jackfruit Hill
The Guesthouse
Tucked into lush greenery near Pāhoa Town, this private home offers a calm, welcoming retreat for travelers who want the real Hawaiʻi—unfiltered, unpretentious, and deeply connected to nature—without giving up comfort or ease. Surrounded by tropical foliage, the house feels secluded and peaceful, yet remains close to town and fully on-grid, making it an ideal getaway for guests who want authenticity without roughing it.
Inside, the home feels like a gathering place for close friends: warm wood walls, soft natural light, thoughtfully chosen furnishings, and quirky, character-rich artwork that reflects the creative spirit of the island. Nothing here is mass-produced or generic—this is a lived-in, loved space with personality and soul.
The property comfortably accommodates up to six guests, making it perfect for couples traveling together, small friend groups, or quiet celebrations. It’s especially well-suited for guests seeking privacy, calm, and a non-resort experience—those who want to wake up to greenery instead of crowds.
Unlike many homes in the area, our property is on city water sourced from the volcanic aquifer (safe to drink, no usage worries), on-grid electricity, and a paved access road, so arriving and settling in is effortless. The owner and property manager are on site and available if needed—happy to offer help, recommendations, or complete privacy, depending on what you prefer.
This is not a resort. It’s not off-grid. It’s something better: a comfortable, soulful home base where you can truly exhale and experience Puna as it is—quiet, creative, and deeply grounding.
